The CivicLab is a Black-led Chicago based do-tank for research, tool making, training, collaboration, innovation, and activation around civic engagement and social justice (www.civiclab.us). We operate the TIF (Tax Increment Financing) Illumination Project (www.tifreports.com) and the "Chicago Is Not Broke" Book Project (www.wearenotbroke.org) that has triggered 187 public meetings in Chicago since 2013 in front of over 15,000 people.
