Jan Schaffer is the ombudsman of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and executive director of J-Lab: The Institute for Interactive Journalism. She has won a Pulitzer Prize for her reporting for the Philadelphia Inquirer and served as director of the Pew Center for Civic Journalism.
